Loving father of Adrian (Pamela) Collinson, Jr., Jodie (Gerald) Cooper, Roy Vreeland, Susan (Jeff) Mesler, Jeannine (Craig Manning) Saylor and Marc (Mary Ann) Vreeland. Dearest grandfather of Ian, Sarah, Michael, Colin, Janine (Michael) Cory, Erika, Sarah, Salena, Keith, Julia, Kierstyn, Lilly and Devin and great-grandfather of Connor, Colton, Dylan, Gabriel, Owen, Mia and Cash. Adrian was born in Paisley, Scotland in 1930. His early career was as a ship's engineer on The Queen Mary. He immigrated to the United States via Canada with his young family in 1965 securing a position as a millwright for Ford Motor Company. Following retirement Adrian enjoyed golfing with his extensive group of family and friends. Adrian loved animals and was always happy to share a treat or 2 with them. He was an avid reader often devouring several novels in a single week. Adrian always enjoyed sharing a wee nip of Scotch and loved music. Adrian was proud of his Scottish heritage and was named the Honorary Lord of Glencoe for Christmas. He never lost his brogue or his beautiful white hair. An avid fisherman in his younger years, Adrian loved to travel and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. Watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy was the highlight of his evening.
Adrian died peacefully in his home with his devoted wife Judy by his side.
A memorial service will be held in February at Our Lady of the Woods in Woodhaven, where Adrian has been a member for years. Plans to celebrate Adrian's life with a gathering of family and friends this summer are underway.
