Obituary

Joseph A. Hughes, Jr. passed away on October 20, 2021. He was 76 years old. He was married to the love of his life, Linda Hughes, for 57 years. He was the loving dad to their three children: Sherri (Dean) Veverica, Kelly Hughes and Joseph Hughes and the best grandpa to Brody. Joe is survived by his sister Martha (Al) Russell and his brother James Hughes. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Jeanie Hughes and his sister Elizabeth Hawthorne.

Besides being a dedicated family man, a loving husband and the best dad and grandpa ever, he could fix anything. He spent his career as a mechanic and has always had a love for classic cars. He took the time to restore each vehicle back to it natural glory. He enjoyed taking them to car shows and cruises and spending time with his fellow car guy friends.

He also enjoyed hockey and liked to watch the Detroit Red Wings.

Joe's memory will live on through all that knew him. He will always be deeply loved and forever missed.

His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
