SHAW, John E., age 33, of Detroit, August 23, 2023. Beloved son of Thomas Shaw and Amy (Matthew) Jorgensen. Loving brother of Meghan (Uribi Beaumont) Shaw, Dillon Shaw, Claire Gomez, and his fur companion Hank. Dearest grandson of Joan Lesner and Nancy Souke. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hugh Lesner, grandparents John E. SR. and Carroll Shaw, his uncle John E. Shaw, and Jerry Garcia. John enjoyed playing hockey as a youth. He loved music, especially The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, and Led Zepplin. He loved watching NFL football with his father. He was an avid reader and enjoyed science and history. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sobriety House.
