Obituary

VANHOUTEN, Lois A., age 91, of Carleton, November 04, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Morris VanHouten. Loving mother of Alan (Janis) VanHouten, David (Shelley) VanHouten, Gerald (Kathryn) VanHouten, Sid (Cindy) VanHouten and Barb (Greg) Johnson. Dearest grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 25. She is also survived by many dear cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Florine Robinson. Lois was a member of the Monroe County Extension Club and a longtime member of Inter-City Baptist Church.

Condolences

I clearly remember Lois VanHouten from my days of teaching at Inter-City Baptist High School and attending the Inter-City Baptist Church. Lois was always so sweet and had a smile for everyone. She was certainly a lovely Christian lady. I send condolences to all the family members and especially to Sid and Cindy whom I was closest to of her children. How wonderful that you had her with you for so many years. I know she was a blessing to many....and is now rejoicing with her loved ones and with her Savior. Blessings to you all. Marilou H LONG
