Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematoria have been named Scotland's best crematoria

The award was established to provide an independent platform to recognize the diversity of people and organizations working in the funeral service industry.

The event was held at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on Friday, August 18, 2023.

The Best Crematorium in Scotland category recognizes the provision of the highest level of service and care for families, positive engagement with the local community, support for local charities, and work to protect the environment and improve biodiversity.

The second achievement of the evening was that Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium was highly commended in the Best Eco Funeral Award - the only crematorium in Scotland to be awarded in this category.

Jennifer Hamilton, manager of Clyde Coast Crematorium, said: "We are very proud of the services we provide at Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium and the work we do in our community, including supporting local hospices and charity partners.

"We have the most incredible building in the most incredible location, providing a truly unique sense of space, comfort and tranquility, as well as our very special and dedicated team who work tirelessly every day to provide the highest level of care for our families.

"In recent years we have been able to return almost £100,000 to local hospice and charity partners through our budget-funded fundraisers and participation in an innovative metal recycling scheme.

"We sincerely thank all the families who have trusted us to provide them with such sensitive care, our exceptional network of local funeral homes for their unwavering support, and the many individuals and stakeholders who helped us achieve this special award for the second time."
