Mark Armstrong, Bismarck radio host, has died at the age of 67

Former Burleigh County Commissioner and Bismarck radio host Mark Armstrong died Saturday at the age of 67.

Armstrong has served as a county commissioner twice, first from 2006 to 2014 and then from 2018 to 2022. He also worked for North Dakota Workforce Safety and Insurance Services and hosted the morning show "PMS in the Morning" with Phil Parker for many years.

Most recently, they reprised this role on the popular "PMS on Demand" podcast.

They were also regular contributors to the Country Morning Today program.

Armstrong is survived by his wife Patti and their ten children. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck.

She became the first woman to own and operate a major national advertising agency. Her company, Wells Rich Greene, is best known for its "I ♥ NY" campaign.

TickTocker, who chronicled her journey with metastatic sarcoma, died at the age of 31, releasing a final video with the words "I've passed away."

"If following you has been any good, I have accomplished my goal. If sarcoma awareness has increased, I have achieved my goal", Dr. Kimberly Nix said in her farewell video.

Barbara Stauffacher Solomon, a pioneer of supergraphics, has died at the age of 95

Trained as a ballerina, painter and graphic designer, she was at the forefront of a movement that changed design and architecture through bold graphics.
