Obituary

Archie “Neal” Adair, a devoted family man and treasured friend, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord on January 10, 2025, in Trenton, Michigan, at the age of 77.  Born on May 23, 1947, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

Before retiring in 1997, Neal dedicated his life to Kelsey Hayes, where he manufactured wheels and was proud to be part of the team that made the first aluminum wheels for many of the classic cars he loved.  Neal’s incredible work ethic was a defining part of his character, and he took great pride in passing down those values to his children.  Neal had a deep love for the outdoors and one of his greatest joys was sharing that passion with his family and friends.  Neal enjoyed hunting, fishing and photography and passed down traditions that strengthened bonds and created cherished memories.  His biggest love was adventuring on motorcycle trips with his dearest wife of nearly 60 years.

Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Fay, and brothers, Fred and David.

Left to treasure his memory is his beloved wife, Connie “Sue”, who shared many wonderful years by his side.  Neal also leaves behind his loving daughters, Tammy (John) and Rhonda (Kelly), as well as his cherished grandchildren, John, Amanda (Jeff), and Travis (Tiffany).  He will be fondly remembered by his great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Rylie, Brooklyn, Lincoln, and Levi and newest arrival great-great grandson, Braxton.  Neal is also survived by his dear sister, Nettus (Dan), brother, Ken (LouAnn), and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, January 17, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home located in Flat Rock, MI.  A funeral service celebrating Neal's life will be held on Saturday, January 18, at 10 a.m.

Neal Adair will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  He taught us many of life’s important lessons: the value of family; the importance of a strong work ethic; skills to fix things yourself; to help those who are in need and how to love the Lord.  His legacy of love and his big heart will live on in the countless lives he touched.

Psalm 23:6: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
