Condolences

  • Floyd was always helping people with a big smile. He never said "no" to any issues I approached him with. He always showed a "can do" attitude. Floyd gave me a couple to items to keep and I remember him fondly whenever I look at those items. Thank you Floyd. Arup Gangopadhyay
  • Floyd Alberts was kind and helpful, never hesitated to assist on the many engineering projects he supported at Ford Motor Company, and always delivered results with a smile and a warm handshake. A self taught expert in Metallurgy, he was well known within the Ford community and equally respected outside by the many lives he touched. Well before "Ford Research" was established as an organization, Floyd was a pioneer in delivering science based and engineering solutions, expert materials characterization and detailed failure analysis on almost every automotive component the went onto Ford Vehicles for the better part of 45 years. Thank you Floyd, the world was a better place because of you and your parting will be missed by all. Look upon us and smile for you will not be forgotten. Cheers to you and Godspeed on your journey to heaven Matthew J Zaluzec
  • Floyd was a good friend at Ford. He cared for people. He loved to help. That's how he got involved with the Henry Ford museum and the Village. He didn't like to see things not being enjoyed; after his first wife passed, he sold my her Precious Moments collection because he knew my wife enjoyed them. I know he paid a lot more for them than he sold them to me for, but he enjoyed making people happy. Larry Elie
