Obituary
Jimmy Dale Allen, born on October 6, 1940, in Teague, Texas, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on November 11, 2025, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
Throughout his life, Jimmy was a man of many passions and talents. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who found tranquility in nature's embrace. As a proud member of Trout Unlimited, he cherished the sport and the camaraderie it brought. His love for country music was equally profound; as a country music artist and band leader for Jimmy Allen and the Country Strings, he brought joy and melody to those around him.
A dedicated craftsman, Jimmy joined the painter’s union at the young age of 16, and he remained a steadfast member throughout his life. In addition to his artistic pursuits, he served in the Army Reserves for six years, demonstrating his commitment and service to his country.
As a loving husband to Effie Allen for 62 years, their bond was unbreakable, marking a lifetime of shared memories and unwavering devotion. Jimmy is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Effie; his parents, Alvin and Eula Allen; and siblings QL, Jessie, Maudine, Norma, and Cassius.
He is survived by his three children, Connie (Darin) Auty-Bacon, Vickey (Terry) Mathews and Duane (Tanya) Allen, who will continue to carry forward his legacy. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Tommy, Julianne, Ashley, and Sarah, along with one great-grandchild, Raven, all of whom brought immense pride and joy to his life.
