Obituary

Sharon Anne Alexander, born on May 31, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on January 6, 2025. She was 75 years old.

Sharon dedicated many years of her professional life as a Purchasing Agent for the VA Hospital, where she was known for her diligence and commitment. Beyond her career, Sharon enjoyed a life filled with adventure and love. Her passions included boating, basking in the sun-drenched beaches of Florida, and traveling to various states, often embarking on exhilarating motorcycle rides across the country. She cherished the thrill of spending time at the casino, but nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sharon is preceded in death by her sister, Jay, and her parents, John and Patricia Jaques. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by her devoted spouse, Larry; her children, Tamara (Harold) Kelley, Melinda (Mauricio) Martinez, and Larry Alexander, Jr.; and her cherished grandchildren, Bryan, Shannon (Phil), Victoria (Jon), Ariel (Emelio), Joshua, and Justin. Her memory will also be kept alive by her great-grandchildren, Dominick, Teagan, and Wilder.

In addition to her immediate family, Sharon is survived by her brothers, John (Sue) and Allan, her sister Patricia, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date, with further details to come. Sharon’s cremation will take place at The Witness Crematory, located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

As we mourn her passing, we celebrate Sharon's vibrant spirit, adventurous heart, and the many memories she leaves behind, forever treasured by all who knew her.
