Obituary

ANDREW, Stephen C., age 74, of New Boston, April 14, 2022. Beloved husband of Linda Andrew. Loving father of Sarah Andrew, Eric (Nicole) Falkenberg, Adam (Brandy) Falkenberg and Nathan (Deonna) Falkenberg. Dearest grandfather of Mason and one on the way. Dear son of Marianna Bougie. He is also survived by his brothers Bob Andrew and Dennis (Dana) Andrew. He is preceded in death by father Paul Andrew, his sister Paula (Beth) Smith and his brothers Bradley Andrew and Bruce Andrew. After the Air Force, Stephen attended Purdue University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He started his computer programming career at the Northwest Indiana Crime Lab, then went to Amoco Oil. After moving to Michigan in 1990, he worked at Great Lakes Steel and then US Steel. He enjoyed singing in the choir at St. John's Lutheran Church and he was an avid morel mushroom hunter his whole life. He rarely got lost in the woods. He also enjoyed driving and seeing new places and going on cruises. His other entertainment in his later years was visiting casinos. He did not risk much at a casino because he defiantly did not like losing. He was a good husband and father, he helped raise his daughter and three stepsons. It was a big financial and emotional responsibility when he took on the task of three young sons, but he did it willingly and worked very long hours to help provide all four children a good life. He also enjoyed making people laugh. He will be missed.

  • Linda and family, We will definitely miss Steve but realize that now he is in Heaven singing on the Heavenly Choir. Whenever we needed anything repaired computer oriented Steve came through. He was a great guy and will be missed by many including our daughter Kathleen who had a good repour with him. Steve would ale ways tease her and even though she acted that she did not like it at times she always appreciated the attention. Good Bye Steve someday we hope to see you on the other side. Denny and Gail McCormick
