William is survived by his loving wife, Janice Hancock; his children Maria V. (Steven) Puranen, William Joseph (Jennifer Lynn Miller-Allgeier) Allgeier, Carrie (Jeff) Hancock Jones, and Brian (Susan) Hancock; his grandchildren Sean (Veronica) Puranen, Brian (Yuri) Puranen, Evan Quinn, Leo Allgeier, Evelyn Allgeier, Michael Miller-Perusse, Olivia Hancock, and Anna Hancock; one great-granddaughter soon to arrive; and his siblings Rita (John) Filipek and Carolyn Watkins.
