BOSSIDIS, Alexandros., age 78, of Romulus, January 18, 2019. Beloved husband of Barbara Ann Bossidis. Loving father of Steven (Anna) Bossidis and daughter-in-law Natalie Bossidis. He is also survived by many loving brothers and sisters. Alexandros started his life in a small village in Kratero, Greece. At the age of 17, he decided it was time to join his father in the United States. In 1957, he arrived at Ellis Island, New York and traveled to Detroit where his father had been staying. Alexandros got right to work and was earning his own money in his father’s restaurant. While juggling work and his adjustment to this new country, he decided to go to trade to learn to work on cars. He had always had a thing for cars. After only being in the States for 6 years, he met the love of his life, Bonnie. They soon after got married and had 2 children, Steven and Alex. Alexandros enjoyed going up north to go hunting and fishing, but the thing he enjoyed the most was his family. Family was the most important thing in his life and he did everything he could for them. Alexandros was the most caring man and never once thought of himself before others. His pride and joy was his grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, Alexis, Sydney and Nicholas. Everything he did in his life was the better the lives of his grandchildren. Alexandros was a kind and hardworking man, who will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents Lozana and Pantelis Bossidis and his son Alexander Bossidis.
Condolences
Our hearts are broken with this news. Uncle Alex, our dearest Koumbaro, was the sweetest, most loving and caring man. He was so kind to all who knew him and had such a gentle heart. I know my parents cherish your friendship regardless of how life has made it more challenging to be able to get together as often as you’d like. We were honored to have him and you Aunt Bonnie as our Koumbare and godparents to our girls as you set a wonderful example of family. Our love and prayers continue to be with the whole family as you remember all of the wonderful memories of this sweet man and know he is in a better place now with no pain. May his memory be eternal and we will certainly do our part to make that happen. Love always, Andrea, Mike, Lauren, Sarah & Andrew ❤️ The Uhlian Family
My deepest condolences to the Bossidis family.
You are all in my prayers as you deal with the loss of Alex.
He was one of the greats.
His family was everything and he was a great role model to his grandkids.
You will be missed many and I look forward to you watching over us as we
spend time in Gladwin. Feel free to direct some nice bucks my way.
Although it was too soon I am sure Alex is happy to have his Dad by his side.
