Clarence Melvin Burley, known to all as Mel, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 12, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan, just days shy of his 90th birthday. Born on April 17, 1936, in Duluth, Minnesota, Mel lived a life marked by quiet dedication to his family and profession.
Mel devoted his career to the practice of law, serving as an attorney with steadfast commitment.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Burley, and Daughter, Susan Burley, Mel was a devoted husband who cherished their life together. He is survived by his son, Eric Burley, and daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Burley. Mel's legacy continues through his two grandchildren, Eric Burley II and Gunnar Burley, who brought immense joy to his later years.
