Obituary

Braden, Daniel T., God led Daniel to his final hunting spot on November 25th, 2011. He was an avid hunter, camper and fisherman. His love of the outdoors grew through spending time with his mother while they hunted. Hunting was Dan’s way of life even during his last months. He and his mother were inseparable. One of his proudest hunting moments occurred on a sponsored trip by SCI of Michigan; he shot and killed a Bull Elk (1400 lbs 6x6) just 15 minutes into the hunt. Daniel loved the outdoors. He could always be found riding his John Deere Gator around his grandmother’s property, setting crayfish traps in the creek and monitoring his scouting camera. Family and friends will always remember Dan for his MacGyver-like skills and the ability to make anything out of everyday materials. He also loved baseball and played for the Toledo Challengers for many years. One of Dan’s most prized possessions was a Cabella’s book that is duct taped together because of it’s constant use. He also loved watching John Wayne movies. Dan will be greatly missed by his dogs, Princess a German Shepherd and Bailey, a Maltese/Bichon mix, who never left his side, looked out for him and kept him company. Dan was never one to take the easy road-in life, in sickness or in hunting-but he never stopped loving and caring for those around him. Dan is survived by his mother, MaryAnn (Golick) Morisette, stepfather David and his father, Thomas L. Braden; G-Ma, Constance Golick and Mammaw Patricia Braden; Aunts Helen (Ray) Harrison and Nancy (Mark) Gucwa. He also leaves behind Uncle Gerald (Jamie) Golick, his Unc, Godfather and Hunting Buddy, as well as Cousins Stephen and Kristina Gucwa, Michael and Jessica Golick, and Joshua Harrison. He was preceded in death by his Busha, Mary Pietruszka, Papaw Otis Braden and Uncle Dave Gucwa. Special Thanks to: Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe, Hospice of NW Ohio, His caregivers: G-Ma, Aunt Helen, Aunt Jamie and the many Family and Friends who have supported us thru this most difficult time.
