Obituary
Donald Earl Britz passed away on October 14, 2025, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, at the age of 90. Born on February 16, 1935, in New Boston, Michigan, Donald lived a life full of love, dedication, and hard work.
Donald spent his career as a truck driver with the Wayne County Road Commission, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his job. Even after retiring, he continued to keep busy, enjoying handyman work and remaining active in his community.
He had a passion for life that was evident in his many interests. Donald loved visiting the casino, cheering on the Detroit Tigers, and spending time on the golf course. He also enjoyed traveling and fishing, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Donald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda; his parents, Elmer and Mildred; his son, Jeffrey Britz; and six siblings. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through his surviving family: his son, David (Pam) Britz; his grandchildren, Eric, Kelli, Brian, Amanda, and Aaron; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister, Dorothy Johnson as well as several nieces and nephews.
Interment for Donald will take place in Michigan Memorial Park. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
