Obituary

BANICK, Edna, age 74, of Brownstown, March 25, 2019. Loving wife, mom and grandma. Survived by Joseph, her devoted husband of 54 years, son Christopher (Kari), daughter Elizabeth (Thomas) and four grandsons Samuel, Joseph, Nathaniel and Aaron. Edna loved to cook, sew, garden, travel, read and do crossword puzzles. She was a devout Catholic. Holidays and gatherings were very special as she was the ultimate hostess and a wonderful cook. She made everyone feel welcome in her spotless home. Her grandsons were her treasures. She was a fighter to the end. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

I was lucky to know Mrs. Banick. Always a warm welcome that made you feel like the most important person in the room, a joyful laugh and a wicked sense of humor as she casually played hostess to a house of her kid’s friends.
