Obituary

Ethel Mae Brough, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 24, 2025, in Allen Park, Michigan, at the age of 96. Born on December 27, 1928, in York, Pennsylvania, Ethel and her family lived in Taylor Michigan for over 50 years. Ethel lived a life full of love and devotion to her family.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Clifford E. Brough, her son Clifford M. Brough and Son-In-Law Freddie Oaks. She is survived by her loving children, daughter Jane (Jim) Shoenauer, Nancy (Freddie) Oaks, and Amy (Zack) Byers.

Ethel leaves behind Six Grandchildren (Ellen, Emily, Kristi, Ryan, Zackie and Melissa), and Twelve (one more on the way) adored Great-Grandchildren.

Ethel enjoyed spending time with her family, she was an avid reader, enjoyed doing word puzzles and watching cooking shows. She also enjoyed cooking, family vacations, and chatting with friends and family on the front porch.

She found enjoyment in the simple things in life, and was a devoted Christian. She was a very strong person, endured her share of challenges in life, but remained a sweet, kind and forgiving person.

Her memory will live on in our hearts, may she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the loved ones who preceded her. We were blessed to have her for so long, we will all miss her dearly.

Condolences
