Obituary

Frederick Carson Baugh, affectionately known as Fred, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, in Flat Rock, Michigan. He was 78 years old. Born on May 6, 1947, in West Virginia, Fred lived a life marked by dedication to his work and devotion to his family.

Fred served as a Lineman for Detroit Edison/DTE, where he worked diligently for many years. He was also a proud member of the Local 17 IBEW. Beyond his career, Fred was a skilled woodworker, often found crafting cherished creations for family and friends.  His love for woodworking was only surpassed by the joy he felt when surrounded by his loved ones.

Fred’s memory will forever be treasured by his surviving family: his devoted wife, Pat Baugh; daughters, Lisa (Paul) Tyler and Carri (Stan) Dyl; his son, Billy (Amanda) Baugh; and his grandchildren, Matthew (Krystal), Cati (Dustin), Lauryn (Brad), Joshua, Shawn (Sarah), Steffen, Ethan, Amber, Ava, Michael, and Christopher. His legacy continues with his great-grandchildren, Prezley Brantley, Mila, and Finnley, each of whom brough him immense pride and joy.

He is preceded in death by his beloved father, William Baugh, his cherished mother, Maxil Baugh, his brother Rex, and his sister Brenda.

Fred’s warmth, humor, and love for his family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His generosity will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
