James "Jim" Barton, born on July 27, 1952, in Delray, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025, in Flat Rock, Michigan, at the age of 72. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Jim was a man of many interests and passions. He found great joy in the freedom of the open road, whether on his cherished mini bikes or motorcycles. Traveling brought him new experiences and memories, which he treasured deeply. He had a love for the water and spent many happy hours boating, reveling in the tranquility it provided. In his quieter moments, Jim enjoyed walking through the Metroparks, appreciating the beauty of nature and finding peace in its presence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marie Barton, who instilled in him values that guided him throughout his life.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Eve Barton, who was his steadfast companion and partner. He leaves behind his loving children, Benjamin Barton and Matthew Barton, along with his daughter-in-law Leslie, all of whom he cherished dearly. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Olivia, Alex, Stella, and Sabrina, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
He is also survived by his brothers, William Barton and Daniel Barton, along with Daniel's wife Susan. They were not only siblings but lifelong friends who shared countless memories and a strong familial bond.
James Barton will be remembered as a man who lived life with enthusiasm and an open heart. His presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
