Obituary
James Edward Beasley, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, in New Boston, Michigan, at the age of 83. Born on May 26, 1942, in Dothan, Alabama, James led a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication.
James was a successful insurance agent and took great pride in his professional achievements. Known for his sharp wit, he was a practical joker who brought smiles to the faces of all who knew him. A devoted fan of Alabama football, James shared many fond memories of attending games and watching the Crimson Tide with excitement.
In his early years, James accompanied his grandfather to the fields of Alabama, where they picked cotton together, a testament to his strong work ethic and connection to family. It was this same commitment to family that defined his life. At the age of 17, Roberta met James, who captured her heart with his charming smile and red Corvette. Their enduring marriage of 61 years was a testament to their deep love and companionship.
James was a member of The Church of Christ and his faith was an integral part of his life. As a husband, he was devoted, often expressing his admiration for Roberta, even in his final days. As a father and grandfather, he was involved and loving, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness.
James is preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas Beasley; mother, Ethel Radabaugh; stepfather, Don Radabaugh; and brother-in-law, Cecil Patrick. He is survived by his beloved wife, Roberta Beasley; his children, James Beasley, Jr. and Lori (Edward) Huntington; his grandchildren, Jacob (Allison) Huntington, Lauren Huntington, Amy Beasley, and Dylan Beasley; and his great-grandson, Henry Huntington. He also leaves behind his siblings, Linda Patrick, Trisha Hubert, Kathy Tipper, and Donald Radabaugh.
His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
