Condolences

  • Kara and family - I was saddened to hear about the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful friend and teacher. I fondly remember working with your mom at Chapman as well as the union representative. She was always kind, unselfish and made decisions based on what was best for children. Helen Brish
  • Our prayers and thoughts remain with you at this loss and in the days to come. Stan, Tammy and Danielle Hargis Stan Hargis
  • Dear Uncle Bob, Kara, Rob and granddarlin's, I have wonderful memories of Aunt Jennie, particularly on Sunday afternoon when her siblings/spouses/children often visited her parents. Spending time with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins was always fun. I was oblivious to the hard work on the family farm - raising a garden, canning, storing fruits and vegetables in a cellar, caring for the cows, pigs, chickens, slaughtering day, drawing water from a well to do laundry in a tub under which a fire was built, stirring the tub with a wooden paddle. Occasionally spending the night, the heavy homemade quilts provided warmth and comfort. Each room of the home had a fireplace - wood and coal for warmth. One bedroom had a pot belly stove and delicious meals were prepared on a wood cook stove. After stuffing our faces with all the good vittles, we gathered in the Front Room where Daddy played the fiddle. The uncles joined in with various strings - guitars, banjos and the whole clan would sing. Aunt Jennie tickled the ivories on the old piano, Pappy sang bass while others sang soprano. I'll miss phone calls with Aunt Jennie. She was always upbeat, happy, thankful despite her physical pain. She truly loved her family, extended family and church family. She is now entertaining God singing in Heaven with her parents and siblings. Favorite memories are treasured. Gail Clonch Tephabock
  • So sorry to hear about Jennie's passing. She was a great Christian lady who loved the Lord and know that she is ready to receive her reward in heaven. We will always remember her faithfulness to Zion Baptist Church...especially to the wonderful choir which we had there. Your family is in our prayers. Ed & Faye Whitlow
  • My family sends our prayers and love to you in this time. “Grandma” Boggs was an extremely important person in my life, especially growing up, and I will never forget all the wise words, laughs, and love she’s shared with me. Avery Neddo
  • My heart and deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Jennie during this difficult time.  I know the heartbreak and pain of losing a loved one in death so I wanted to take a moment to share an encouraging scripture that gives me much hope.  1 Corinthians 15:26 "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing."  When we lose someone in death our heavenly Father sees the pain we feel and he promises to very soon do away with this wicked enemy of ours once and for all.  And then he promises the most beautiful hope, to bring back to life all our dear loved ones and to reunite them with us again!  What a beautiful promise of comfort and hope and how we long for that truly special day so close at hand.
