Obituary
Joan Barbara Bochniak, born on November 5, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on June 14, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan. Joan was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished spending her time shopping, dining out, and enjoying the company of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Bochniak; her father, Alex Rakay; her mother, Nellie Rakay; and her dear sister, Dolores Ellis.
Joan's memory lives on through her devoted children, David Bochniak and Denise (Michael) Lancial. She was a proud and loving grandmother to her grandchildren: Sara, Jessica, Kevin, and Lauren. Her warm presence and love for her family and friends will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
