Obituary

BURKHARDT, Judith, age 72, of Romulus, January 31, 2019. Loving mother of Lisa (Jeffery) Potts and Stephen (Amanda) Whorton, Jr. Dearest grandmother of Danielle, Alexander, Brandon, Nickolas, Austin, Stefinie and Stevie and great-grandmother of Tyler, Brookelynn, Emma, Milaya, Josie, Sawyer, Lily and Maddox. Dear sister of Cathy (Roy) Szyndlar and Timothy (Kathy) Miank. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Miank and Jacqueline Fisher and her brother Chip Miank. She loved to be around people. Many people described her vibrant personality as sassy. She worked for several years in the air freight business at KLM cargo, she loved her job. She loved music and would dance and sing whenever she heard it play. She loved animals, gardening, bingo, crime-fighting shows and being outdoors. Above all, she loved her family dearly.

Judy was my wonderful friend, neighbor, fellow single mom in the 70's . We shared joys, sorrows, adventures, travels. We watched our children grow up, adding grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We knew each others parents. We shared our Loves, our lives over the years. The last time I saw Judy was in 2017. We looked out the window and saw Beautiful Lake Michigan. We looked at photos.
