Obituary

BERLINN, JR., Kenneth “Ladd” E., age 86, of Romulus, October 01, 2021. Beloved husband of Rosalie Berlinn for 55 years on October 15. Loving father of Denise (Brian) Simmerman, Marian (Joseph) Bruck and Laurie (Douglas) James. Dearest grandfather of Arlo, whom he had a very special bond with. Zoe, Hunter, Emma and Chloe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Marian Berlinn, brothers Donald “Skip” Berlinn and Allen Berlinn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Penrickton Center for the Blind or Taylor Fish and Loaves. Kenneth loved to keep active throughout his life, he enjoyed playing golf, coaching softball games, enjoyed bowling and keeping his mind active by playing crossword puzzles and euchre. Kenneth also was Santa Claus in the Magical Forest in Heritage Park located in Taylor, MI for 13 years. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 34 years as an inspector. He proudly served in the United States Army and also served on the Board of Education for Romulus as well as the Wayne RESA board for 34 years combined. He dearly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and made a special effort in getting to know his grandchildren individually. Kenneth will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
