Obituary
Margaret Ann Brooks, affectionately known as "Brooks," passed away on July 18, 2026, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 66. Born on December 1, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, she lived a life full of adventure and passion.
Brooks was a spirited soul who found joy in the open road as a professional driver. Her passion for Harleys was well-known, and she cherished every moment spent riding hers. She had a deep fondness for the outdoors and spending time with nature. She also had an affinity for both listening to music and playing it on her guitar.
Brooks adored all animals, but she held a special place in her heart for dogs. She was never without a canine companion. She was also quite talented at training them.
Brooks is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Bonnie Gregory, and her granddaughter, Kayleigh McCray. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her son Jason (Marianne) Brooks, daughters Kristen (Nicholas) McCray and Megan (Zac) Shults, and her granddaughter Kali. She is also survived by her sister Cindy (Frank) Shuereb and her best friend Denise (Steve) Durham, who stood by her side through life's many journeys.
Brooks' vibrant spirit and unwavering strength will be missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love, tenacity, and resilience will continue to inspire those who knew her.
