Obituary
Margaret Ann Badillo-Downey, born on October 5, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 62, after a 13-year battle with kidney disease.
Margaret was a dedicated employee, having worked 15 years as a cashier and cook at Taco Bell, where she was known for her hard work and friendly demeanor. Beyond her professional life, Margaret had a spirited personality and was always ready for a good debate, a testament to her love for engaging conversations and her stubborn yet endearing nature. Her passions included spending time and playing with her grandchildren, Bingo, trying her luck with lottery tickets, and visiting the casino. She was also an enthusiastic cook who cherished the joy of preparing meals for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Anna and Ron England, and Faustino Badillo II, whose memories she held close to her heart.
Margaret leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her legacy. She is survived by her son, Tony Badillo, and his partner, Justyne Garza; her daughter, Ruby Downey; and her cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie Badillo, Kyle Badillo, Ayden Thorne, Amiyah Thorne, and Ahmari Thorne. She is also survived by her brother, Faustino "Tony" Badillo III, and his wife, Amani; her sisters, Catherine Eastham and her husband Jack, and Sarah Eleczko and her husband Ron, as well as many half-brothers and sisters. Additionally, Margaret leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
Margaret Ann Badillo-Downey’s warmth, humor, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who are grateful for the time they shared with her. The family would like to say they love her very much!
