Obituary

Mary Ann Bushaw, age 79 of Dearborn Heights passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Oct. 6, 1939 in Detroit, MI to Edward and Anne DeSmit. She was a beloved mother, cherished grandmother, loving aunt and a devoted friend to all. She loved spending time with her family, her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren participate in their sporting activities. She adored her grandchildren, she loved and cherished spending time with them. Most of all, she will be remembered by her genuine smile and the unconditional love and kindness she blessed people with, her profound love for her family and her beloved grandchildren. She was survived by her son Rory Badge (Christina Horvath); step-daughter Angela Apostle (John); step-son Andrew Coogan; sister Marilynne Moody (Charles); sister Margie Baron; brother Edward Swamba; her three beloved grandchildren Logan Badge, Dylan Badge, Zachary Ibrahim and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence Bushaw, brother John DeSmit and sister Diane Nystrom. A cremation will take place, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. .
