BOIK, Melvin C., age 87, of Flat Rock, November 18, 2018. Beloved husband of May Boik. Loving father Michael (Candace) Boik and Marsha (Joseph) Ferda. He is also survived by his sister Donna (the late Curtis) Jordan, Dale (Philomine) Boik, sister-in-law Dolores Boik and brother-in-law Bill McKelvey. Melvin worked at McLouth Steel for 43 years as a bricklayer and was a consultant for AP Green Company. He loved to help people with home improvement projects and was proud of his family home that he built. Melvin was a devout Christian and active in his church he also enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Alma Boik, sister Marilyn McKelvey and brother Elton Boik.
