Obituary

BROWN, Nancy M., age 61, of Lincoln Park, December 26, 2021. Beloved wife of Edward Brown. She is also survived by her brothers John Gonzalez, James Gonzalez and Robert Gonzalez. Loving aunt of Dennis Fater, Julie (Harry) Sylvester, Jaci Brown-Hanshaw (Phillip Hanshaw), Adam (Tonya) Brown, Mark (Sherri) Brown, Jessica (Chris) Zambo, Donald Sturgon, Brian (Brittney) Brown, Ashley (Al) Arredondo, James Gonzalez and Dr. Andrew (Marrah) Gonzalez. Cherished great aunt of Aurora, Carleigh, Kennedy, Finnegan, Andrew, Nathaniel, Matthew and Madison, great nieces Kiernan and Nolan. Nancy loved to travel with her husband, she was a bowler for the Latin American Mixed Bowling League. She did active charity work for St. Annes of Detroit. A member of the “For Em” Red Wings Booster Club. She was preceded in death by her parents Margarito and Betty Gonzalez. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michigan Humane Society.

I was so sorry to hear that Nancy passed away. She had been a trooper fighting her illness for quite some time. I did not know Nancy personally but am a childhood friend of Ed and the Brown family. I can only imagine how devastating this is to Ed as he loved his wife so very much and enjoyed bowling, traveling and going to sports events and concerts with each other. Nancy was definitely a "life well lived". Unfortunately, to those who so loved Nancy, God took her too soon, and her illness was the pits for her and Ed and no one can understand the answer to "why". I have a heavy heart for all that adored her. May God give you peace and know that she is out of pain and in Jesus's loving arms until you see each other again in our Kingdom of the Lord.
