BIRD, Nita Faye, age 90, of Romulus, died on September 24, 2021 at her home. Beloved wife of the Ralph Earl Bird. Loving mother of Sherry Lynn (Bird) Keene and her husband Bruce Keene and mother-in-law of Lucila Bird. Dearest grandmother of Stacey, Andrea, Terry, Natalie, Nicholas and great-grandmother of Courtney, Chandler, Andy, Makenzie, Madison, Bentley, Jaxon and great-great-grandmother of Huxon. She is also survived by her brother Garland Katzvinsky. She is preceded in death by her son Terry Lee Bird, her grandson Timothy Lee Bird, her great-grandson Kenny Beaver, her parents Laudie and Nita Katzvinsky, her brother Karl Katzvinsky and her sisters Phylis (Miller) Katzvinsky and Dinah (Yoakum) Katzvinsky. Faye was born December 06, 1930 in Gibraltar, Michigan. The daughter of Laudie Karl Katzvinsky and Nita Gladys (Smith) Katzvinsky. She attended Flat Rock High School. Colleges attended include Cleary, Wayne County Community and Michigan State. She married her childhood sweetheart Ralph Earl Bird. They celebrate 74 years of marriage. Faye was a lover of all sports, she played baseball on the high school baseball team. Proudly worked for Woodhaven School District for 20 years in the position of Director of Support Services and Renovations Project Manager.
