BECK, Richard, age 84, of South Rockwood, April 27, 2022. Beloved husband of Lucille Beck. Loving father of LuAnne (Kevin) Newman, Kimberly Walczak and daughter-in-law Geri Beck. Dearest grandfather of Trever, Danielle, Michael, Philip and Jacob and great grandfather of Julian. He is preceded in death by his sons Dennis and Steven Beck, parents Chester and Hattie Beck, brothers Raymond and Leonard Beck. Richard was a member of the United States Air Force. He offered 4 years of his life exiting in 1960 with an education and skills in heavy equipment machinery and operations.Richard worked for 50 years as a machinist for McClouth Steel and Chrysler Corporation until his retirement in 2004. Many of those coworkers he became and continues to be friends with until this day.Richard was a profound provider to his family. He was a loyal and present husband and father. He enjoyed instilling into each of his children and grand children his high morals, expectations and work ethic.Richard was a grand lover of life and nature. One of his greatest pleasures was watching birds, deer, and squirrels that would pass through his yard. He especially loved dogs. He could never say no to a dog brought home by his children. Just took them in and gave them a home. He holds a special place in his heart for every one of them.Richards greatest passion was his time spent fishing or joyriding on the boat. Many memories and good times we’re created on the Detroit River. In lieu of flowers a donation made to the Wounded Warriors Project would be greatly appreciated.
