Obituary

Rick Bobowski, born on August 15, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away in his hometown on October 27, 2024. At the age of 57, Rick's life was a tapestry of dedication, love, and joy.

Rick was a man whose work as a production manager in manufacturing demonstrated his commitment to excellence and innovation. He was known for his ability to bring people together, fostering teamwork and camaraderie among his colleagues.

Outside of work, Rick had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. He found solace and inspiration in camping, hunting, and playing golf. Above all, Rick coached and refereed soccer for many years, beginning when his children showed an interest in playing. These activities were more than hobbies; they were a testament to his love for nature and his desire to connect with his loved ones around him.

Rick's true passion, however, was the time he spent with his beloved family. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Gay Bobowski, who stood by his side through every chapter of his life. Together, they raised 2 wonderful children, daughter Alycia and her husband Jacob Duncil and son Andrew Bobowski and his wife Ellen Riina, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and perseverance. His grandsons, J.J. and Leo, brought immense pride and joy into Rick's life.

Rick is also survived by his parents, Richard and Camille Bobowski, his brother Paul Bobowski and fiancée Darcey Corirossi-Paradoski, sister Sharon Bobowski, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Chuck and Heather Street. In addition, he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will remember him fondly. Rick was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dewey and Ginny Street, who now welcome him with open arms.

Rick Bobowski's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His unwavering love, vibrant energy, and compassionate nature have left and indelible mark on this work.

  • Sending a message of peace and love to all the Bobowski family and for the soul of Rick during this very difficult time. We have been praying the rosary daily for consolation in your wonderful family and We have been blessed to have you as friends over these past years and have enjoyed the excitement he shared with your growing family. I think of Rick often and know that even in his quirkiest moments, he taught me ways to be a better father. The physical toll he endured was immense, but his true heart was bigger than anything one could imagine. The service and eulogy were very special. May peace be with you and for Rick to continue to be present in all our lives. Love you all, Angie, Ed, Amelia and Garrett Gillis Family
