Obituary

Suison Carol Burgess, age 79, peacefully took her last breath on Friday, April 12th, 2024 at 2:12 p.m. in Dearborn after a decline in her health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family in her final moments.

Suison was born on March 21st, 1945 to Lennie (Marcelle) Bloomfield and Warren Pearce in Detroit. Her father later married Mary Pearce. Their lake home held many great memories for Suison as well as for her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Suison is preceded in death by her parents as well as siblings Bruce and Linda. She is survived by her siblings Warren (Sue), Nancy (Ron), and Pam, her children Faith (Jeff), Leroy, Michael (Jenna), and David, her grandchildren Stephanie, Pete, Tosha, Mickey, Jacob, Brendan, Matthew, Xaillii, Harley, Chase, and Kami, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Suison was always very passionate about gardening and planted beautiful flowers anywhere she went. The only thing Suison loved more than her flowers was her family. Suison was a truly selfless woman and always made sure her family's needs were met and put above her own. She also cared for every neighbor and friend, who all became family as well, opening her heart and home to all who needed it. She was the heart and soul of the family and the one person everyone could always count on. She spent all of her life surrounded by family and made so many memories over birthdays, holidays, and even just having everyone gathered in her home. Suison was well known for her spunky personality and knew how to leave an impression. To say she will be missed, is a huge understatement.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Suison has touched are invited to Michigan Memorial Funeral Home (30895 W. Huron Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134) on Thursday, April 18th from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. with the ceremony being at 3 p.m. to reminisce, grieve, and support each other in this time of loss. Luncheon immediately to follow. Location to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at stjude.org
