Obituary

BARNARD, Susan M., age 63, of Allen Park, December 23, 2019. Beloved wife of Carol Glinn. Loving sister of Kenneth (Lorraine) Barnard, Danny (Michele) Glinn, Mary Ellen Miluk, Deborah (Duane) Robinson, Lisa Simon, Susan (Michael) Hoffman, and Marsha (Craig) O’Neill. Loving aunt of Stephanie, Jamie, Kevin, Stacy, Kelly, Brandy, Jeremy, Jessie, Steven, and Sara. She is also survived by her beloved fur baby Finnegan Kelly. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Noreen Barnard, her brother Daniel James Barnard, her dog Harry Trueman and her cats Katie Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. Her cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Susan was born on July 26, 1956 in Lincoln Park Michigan to Harold and Noreen Barnard who preceded her in death. She graduated from Lincoln Park high school in 1974 and continued her education at the University of Michigan in Dearborn. She married the love of her life, Carol Glinn, on April 26, 2019. Susan worked at ADP in Allen Park/Dearborn as an Operations Manager/Facilities Manager starting in 1977 until she retired in 2016. Susan loved to work on home-improvement projects and was a perfectionist, which meant her projects took forever to complete. However, when they were completed, they were done beautifully. She loved spending time with friends and family around a bonfire playing euchre, playing her guitar, or just reminiscing about life. Susan had an artistic flair and loved to paint on canvas.

Condolences

  • Oh Susan, I am so sorry, I just found out. I have no idea what happened. In a state of shock. We grew up together. Helped each other threw those years of finding ourselves. You helped me so very much. I can never forget. The love I have for you is endless. I wish I wish., I had known. The memories I have of us. I never thought I would lose you. Matt Mahoney
  • I grew up a street over from Sue and really enjoyed connecting a few years ago on Facebook. Sue was very intuitive and her take on topics was both thought provoking and well expressed. Her love for animals was so apparent, and her fur babies were very lucky to have her! I regret that I will miss her celebration of life gathering, but am thinking of her and send love and hugs to her family. Mary Ellen Condon Baraszu
  • I worked with Sue from 1977 until I retired in 2010. She was great to work with and a good friend. Prayers for Carol and the family... Isephine Cummings
  • My sincere condolences to Carol and Sue's family for your loss. The world is little less bright without Sue's light shining here. Fly free my friend, no more pain, just love and laughter. Patti Gray
  • Worked with Sue from 82 until 2003. She was always a person you could talk to and always had good advice to share. I'm certain she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace my friend. Denise Griffin
  • I worked with Sue at ADP from 77 to 90. She was a faithful friend and a voice of reason. Her peaceful spirit will be missed. Gail McDowell
