BALLARTA, Teresa Mangona, age 91, peacefully returned to the embrace of the Lord on May 25, 2023. Born in Manila, Philippines on September 14, 1931, she embarked on a remarkable journey that led her to the United States, where she made her home in Taylor, Michigan, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Devoted wife to Antonio, she shared a love that transcended time. Together, they built a life filled with cherished moments and unwavering commitment. As a loving, mother, Teresa nurtured and guided her sons Erwin and Dominic, instilling in them values that would shape their character. She embraced her roles as a mother-in-law to Rhona and the late Theresa, extending her love and wisdom to their lives. Teresa delighted in her role as a grandmother, adoringly known as Lola to Dashiell and Kyle. She showered them with affection, creating lasting memories and leaving an imprint of love on their hearts. Her 9 great-grandchildren, Asher, Amelia, Oliver, Miles, Adeline, Zoe, Genevieve, Gabriel and Sabastian made her heart smile with joy and love. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion, cherished not only by her immediate family but also by her numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Teresa’s profound love and unwavering kindness will forever be etched in their memories. In this time of mourning, we celebrate the beautiful life of Teresa Mongona Ballarta. Her legacy of love, grace and selflessness will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her soul find eternal peace in the loving embrace of the Lord and may her family and friends find solace in the beautiful memories they shared.
