  • My life has been enriched by having Thelma and Jimmy Dale Ball as a loving part of it. They always made me feel that what I felt mattered to them as much as I did. I loved the summer vacations to Burnside Island and all the bluegrass music that my Dad( Jimmy’s cousin) and my brothers playing music with Jim and his family pleased the crowds. The campers would gather all around the campfire and join in the fun. I loved listening to my mother and Thelma chatting and all the laughter that we enjoyed. I went shopping with Thelma and Kelley while the menfolk went cruising on the lake Cumberland in the “Ballroom” boat! I loved all the family dearly and I will be praying for GOD to bring comfort to them all through the wonderful memories shared. I feel that Thelma and Jimmy are just gone on ahead of those left behind on earth but time is irrelevant in Paradise so they are at PEACE, while we are making preparations in spirit to be reunited with them when our time comes to depart. God Bless from cousin Karen (Ball) and Charlie GILREATH. KAREN GILREATH
  • I am so sorry for your loss. Thelma was such a wonderful person to know. She always welcomed you in, and made you feel like family. I have so many memories of the times I spent with her. I hope the family finds some comfort in their memories of her. Joe Rucinski
  • We are deeply saddened by this loss. I had the pleasure of watching Grandma Ball love her family for many years! As I married her grandson, Adam I was lucky enough to witness a grandmother that loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a fun loving, thoughtful grandma who I will never forget wrestling on the floor with the great grandkids or playing a game. Holidays at her home were nothing less than magical. Her and big papa’s legacy is the amazing family they have created and loved unconditionally for their entire lives. They will forever hold a place in our hearts and we will cherish all of the memories they created for us. Kim Ball
