Obituary

Theresa Ann Brown, born on January 24, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on July 29, 2026, in Trenton, Michigan, at the age of 97.

Theresa was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her warmth and kindness touched all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.

Her interests were varied and brought her much joy throughout her life. She had a keen mind and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and piecing together jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. Theresa also found comfort and entertainment in watching the Hallmark Channel and various game shows.

Theresa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Brown. She is survived by her children: Daryl, Kevin, Glen, Teri (Angelo), and Lori. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Rhiannon, Derek, Kevin, Amber, Chelsea, Trevor, AJ, Nicole, and Theresa, as well as 12 loving great-grandchildren with two more on the way. She also leaves behind one cherished great-great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude's or a charity of your choice in Theresa's memory. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

  • I loved seeing Theresa out on her from porch on beautiful summer days. It made my day to say hi and just hear her. She was loved by so many. There isn't a person on the street who doesnt know her or the family in some way. To hear her gentle voice telling a story.. to see that beautiful smile and those eyes -light up. I got the pure joy of seeing her almost every day through my back yard. She was sweet, patient, kind and so loving. She truly was my hero. I still want to be just like her when I grow up. And her family. I have never in my life seen or known a lor loving and just amazing group. Every single person spent time with Theresa everyday and all the time. Even the kids who she helped raise. They came to see her That says so much about how she cared, loved and raised each one of you. I have been so blessed to know her and all of you. My heart is so full, I hope each of you holds all your memories near and dear, I know I will. Thank you so much for bringing us to her Lord. And thank you all so much for letting us be a part of that joy in knowing Theresa and yourselves. Tammie Recore and Thom Alderson
