Obituary

Barbara Belle Crawford, born on November 6, 1937, in Paulding, Ohio, peacefully passed away on September 27, 2025, in Newport, Michigan, at the age of 87.

Barbara was a woman of warmth and kindness, possessing a heart of gold that touched everyone she met. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she cherished the time spent with them, particularly during family gatherings that brought so much joy to her heart.

Barbara shared a deep bond with her husband, William Crawford, having been happily married for 37 wonderful years. Their time together, especially up north, was filled with love and fond memories, making every moment special. She found serenity walking through the woods, surrounded by nature's beauty.

Barbara was a talented cook, best known for her exquisite cheesecake and the bountiful meals she lovingly prepared for family and friends. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and she was beloved for the thoughtful birthday cards she designed and sent to her grandchildren each year.

As a loving mother to ten children, Barbara's legacy lives on through Rick (Sandy) Ford, Lorraine Ford, Pamela Tabor, Thomas (Jeannie) Ford, Dennis Ford, Denise Ford, Kimberly (Rick) Wall, David (Christine) Crawford, and Scott Crawford. She was also a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother to many, who will continue to hold her memory dear. She is survived by her brothers John and Lawrence.

Barbara was preceded in death by her children Kristine Goins, Randy Ford, and Russell Ford; her sister Helen; as well as her parents, John and Georgia Stanton.

Her life was enriched by close friendships and community, enjoying fellowship with her dear friends and playing Bunco. Her involvement in activities, like her Kops Weight Watchers group, brought her joy and camaraderie.

The family extends their deepest gratitude for the love and support expressed during this difficult time. Barbara Belle Crawford leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
