Obituary

Jimmy Dale Cusic, born on July 15, 1947, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024, in Brownstown, Michigan, at the age of 77.

Jimmy dedicated his professional life to his work as an engineer at Chrysler, where he built a reputation for his dedication and expertise. Outside of his career, Jimmy had a profound love for the outdoors and adventure. He spent many joyful hours boating, scuba diving, and snow skiing. A devoted fan of the Detroit Lions, he rarely missed an opportunity to watch his favorite team play. Jimmy was also a proud member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, where he found a sense of community and purpose.

Preceded in death by his Mother Marion & Al Pruett lll, and Father Herman Cusic, Jimmy leaves behind a loving family and many friends who will cherish his memory. He is survived by his beloved spouse of 10 years, Kathleen "Kathy" Cusic, and his stepchildren, Michael (Barbara) Rentschler and Miryah Rice. His legacy continues through his step grandchildren Cayla (Brandon) Baker, Alexandra (Kevin) Hamilton, Emily (Paul) Hartwig, and Philip Rentschler, as well as his two step great-grandchildren, Stella Hartwig and Liliana Hamilton.

Jimmy will also be dearly missed by his brothers Larry (Johnnie) Cusic, Scott Cusic, Al Pruett IV, and Brett (Deonna) Pruett.

Jimmy Dale Cusic will be fondly remembered for his adventurous spirit, his unwavering support for his loved ones, and his pride in serving with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. His memory remains a beacon of love and joy to all who knew him.
