Obituary

On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, JoAnn (Regal) Cady entered heaven and is now rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! She was born on October 11, 1941 and grew up in Trenton, Michigan. She moved to the St. Louis, Missouri area in 1983 and then to Palmetto, Florida in 2005. JoAnn recently moved back to the O’Fallon area again. She was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, daughter, and friend to many.

Preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Cady, her parents Raymond and Hazel (Marcum) Regal, her brothers Allen Regal, William (Bill) Regal, and in-laws Hanna Regal, Lynn Regal, Alfred Cady, Claude Cady, Alice and Lee LeBlanc, Gerald Cady, Delena and Donald Giese, Beatrice Wilson, John Cady, and George Cady.

She is survived by her three children Jeff (Karen) Cady, Greg (Tammy) Cady, and Terri (Chris) Thomas; her grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Cady, Myranda (Justin) Fabian, Lindsay (David) Mahurin, Lauren (Ryan) Potocsky, Olivia (David) Cady, Courtney Thomas, and Sierra (Samual) Schaffer, and great-grandchildren Trey, Jack, Isaiah, Noah, Izak, Lydia, Hannan, Claire, Lillian, Luke, Mina, Eliana, Wyatt, and Rune. She is survived by her brother Gary Regal and sisters-in-law Shirley Regal, Mary Ulman, Theresa Taylor, Cindy Cady, Rosemary Cady, and Joan Cady, and her brothers-in-law Roy Cady, Oscar (Cathy) Cady, Mearl (Rebecca) Cady, and David Taylor as well as many nieces and nephews.

JoAnn made many close and dear friends wherever she was. Once you were JoAnn’s friend, you were a life long friend. She was a cosmetologist as well as a cosmetology instructor for many years in both Monroe, Michigan and Ballwin, Missouri. For years she was a co-owner of a hair salon in Ellisville, Missouri.

She was able to enjoy a number of years in Florida with her husband Marlin, when they retired. She loved and was loved by her family and was the glue that held the family together. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.

Condolences
