Condolences

  • Joan was a great lady. I ran into her at different times during our lives. We also attended Mt Olivet Methodist Church together with Lee Ann Seitz in the 1960s. I am still shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace among the angels and our Lord. Sue Burns Crill
  • Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for the your sudden loss. Joan was my boss in the 80's, gave me my first child's baby shower and we stayed in touch through the years. She always asked about family, always shared a smile. Peace be with your sons, their families, your sisters, neighbors and friends. You will be missed my friend. Pamela Zoeller
  • I was saddened and shocked to hear of Joan’s passing. She was a dear and special long-time friend and I loved her like a sister. We shared so many special and crazy times together during our friendship. I will always keep these memories close to my heart. I will miss her dearly. My deepest sympathy to the family and wishing you strength and peace at this difficult time. Joyce Nicora
  • My prayers are with the family and loved ones. Joan was my first friend in kindergarten! And will always will be a joy mixed in my childhood memories ❤️ Gail Majcher
  • My condolences in reaction to the surprising news of Joan's unexpected and premature death. Joan was part of my K-12 East Dearborn life at Maples School and at Fordson High School. After Fordson graduation, I had only one social event shared with Joan--our 25th high school reunion, if memory is correct. She was delightful and still active in the mortgage industry, with Citibank, as I recall. I can only hope that her family life and career were rewarding, fun and fulfilling, so that her children, friends and former colleagues will have many fond memories to recall in the future. Greg Ptucha

  • I am so sorry to hear of Joan's passing. Joan was my 1st boss in the mortgage industry at Graham Mortgage Corporation in Southfield, MI. Joan was instrumental in providing me mentorship to achieve the success that I enjoyed! Joan and I were also friends and enjoyed time together outside of work. I also lived in Dearborn at that time and would pick Joan up for work on snowy days - because she was so fearful of driving in snow! I have many fond memories of my friendship with Joan. Jeri Rehberg
  • To Carol and Gail and Joanie’s family, I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. I am her neighbor from across the street on Coleman. So many wonderful memories of growing up together. Fly high Joanie! Sherri Nieporte Szybisty Walton, Ky Sherri Nieporte Szybisty
