Obituary

CARTER, Joseph E., age 78, born January 06, 1939, passed away in Dearborn, February 14, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Carter, and his father Elmer Carter, and brother Tom Carter. He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda Carter, his loving sons Mike, Tom and Steve Carter, and his grandchildren Kayli, Brian and Carly. Also his brothers and sisters Lillie, Lou, Carl, Willard, Francis and Anne. Joe retired from Ford Motor Co., in 1999 from the Woodhaven stamping plant after 30 years of service. Joe also served his county in the US Army from 1961 – 1963 during the Cold War 2 years in Germany performing border patrol on the German and Chez border he finished his time in the military as a SPEC 4, he was a scout/driver for 2/7 3ID armor tank unit. Joe was also a member and Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Flat Rock for many years.
