CLARY, Michael John, age 64, died January 20, 2014 after a terrible battle with lung cancer. Originally from River Rouge, he spent his last few decades in Brownstown. His lifelong thirst for knowledge was legendary and he pursued most aspects of his life passionately, whether it be people, creatures, the arts and culture or simply learning for its own sake. He was an accomplished musician with a profound appreciation of music, as well as a prolific reader and moviephile. He loved good conversation and debate, sports and his family. He was known for his wit and charisma. Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Thomas Clary, who died tragically from brain cancer only a few years after their union (in 2007), and also his parents Arthur Lee and Nina Lee Clary (Morris). He is suvived by three sisters, Cynthia Ratliff of River Rouge, Patricia (Norman) Lang of Frisco, TX and Andrea (Neven) Vos of Wyandotte. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, three great-nephews and three great-nieces. In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated at Michigan Memorial Park Crematory.
