Obituary

Nancy Catherine Cagle, born on September 14, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away at the age of 77 on October 17, 2024, in Monroe, Michigan.

Nancy was a woman of unwavering faith and deep devotion to her church community, where she found joy in praising the Lord and volunteering for church dinners. Her caring nature extended beyond her congregation as she dedicated herself to cooking and hosting, always ensuring that those around her felt welcomed and loved. She cherished her role in caring for her family and took pride in teaching Sunday school, where she imparted her wisdom and kindness to young minds.

Preceded in death by her beloved Baby Girl Lora, Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, James Larry Cagle. Together, they built a loving family who will continue to honor her memory. Her children, Wendy Cagle, Greg (wife Rene) Cagle, and Amanda (husband Ryan) Langford, mourn her passing while celebrating her legacy of love and compassion. Nancy's grandchildren, Marissa Cagle, Helena (husband Brandon) Masserant, Thomas Cagle, Hailey Langford, and Gavin Langford, along with her great-grandchildren, Levi Cagle-Poore, Greyson Strandridge, Giavonna Strandridge, and Paisley Strandridge, will forever hold her in their hearts.

Nancy was the cherished daughter of Owen and Annah Hackney and the dear sister of Robert (wife Brenda) Hackney and Fr. Daniel (wife Carole) Hackney. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she embraced every moment spent with them.

In the hearts of all who knew her, Nancy Catherine Cagle will be remembered as a beacon of love, faith, and generosity. Her spirit will continue to inspire all those who were touched by her gentle soul. While she has left this earthly realm, her legacy endures in the hearts and lives of those she held dear.
