  • I have no words. I'm supposed to have something profound to say in a time like this but I can't find anything that fits this. I wish I could go back in time and sit and talk to you for one more time. I don't know if I ever told you this Phil but I've always been so proud of the man you became. I remember when we were kids you wanted to be a cop more than anything and you did it. Not only did you live your dream you did it with style my friend. The world is a lot emptier today without you in it. I was going through some old stuff I've accumulated over the years and found the chrome lighter you gave me for Christmas one year when we were young. You had it engraved with "To my best friend Brian, From Phil" I can't tell you how humbled I am to know that at one time you considered me a best friend. I'll cherish it forever buddy. Watch over your family. Rest easy. I love you man. Brian Scarbrough
