Condolences

  • God Bless Mrs. Catarino, and condolences to all who loved her. She was the pretty lady who lived down the block and the last of the "original" Moms of Devoe street. I wish comfort to all who mourn her. She is with her dear husband now and you WILL see them both again. Karen (Kozlowski) Rutkowski
  • Even though I haven’t lived in MI for many years, I still have A LOT of fond memories of Mrs. Catarino while growing up. Everytime I came over, Phil was in the kitchen cooking or baking. She always made sure you weren’t hungry. I’ve never forgetten when she redid the kitchen. I thought it was the coolest thing. I had never seen a kitchen that big with so many appliances in it. In the afternoons Phil had her “stories” on the TV. She ALWAYS asked how my family was & truly cared. There was always a smile on her face & she always had an ear to listen. I was blessed to have known her and to have been around her while growning up. Go be with Al again & set him straight, like you always did. LOL Fly high Mrs. Cat. You will NEVER be forgotten. • To ma, my mother-in-law: You were a loving, loyal, and faithful wife and mother whom loved each of her family members equally and unconditionally. Thank you for openly sharing your faith in Jesus Christ by having his word always available in the kitchen where you loved to cook and bake. I will not forget how during the time I dated your lovely daughter Diane, up to and past the time we were married how you always wanted a prayer and blessing made to give thanks each year before the Thanksgiving feast. No one ever went away hungry or unsatisfied with your meals, especially the coffee can pumpkin bread loafs and wide assortment of home baked cookies each holiday season. And who could forget your unique style of spaghetti and chicken sliders - that will be missed and never can be replaced. But most of all, no one can ever forget how you always welcomed visitors with a fresh pot of coffee, cookies and good conversation. We'll miss your chuckle at weird jokes and the silly things of life. Your generosity, graciousness, and company will be missed by all those you touched. In memory of you -- Dan O. Daniel O'Connell

  • Our deepest sympathy. Al your mom was one fun lady. Whenever you saw her a smile always met your eye. A mom of a gang of kids, like my family too, she was one busy and hard working woman. Now her mind is clear and crisp again. May she Rest In Peace Love. Cindy and Loren Cindy Ziesmer Burzycki
