Ralph Crews, 87, of Romulus, Michigan, died Sunday, January 15 surrounded by his family.Born in Nimmons, Arkansas on September 12, 1925, Ralph is survived by his wife Edith Marie Crews; his children: Roy Crews of Cape Coral, FL formerly of Monroe; daughter Rita Hart of Wyandotte; daughter Robin Schonscheck of Romulus; and Ralph Elliot Crews of Ypsilanti, MI formerly of Carleton. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jennifer, Christopher, David, Jessica, Chase, Cody, and Matthew and his great grandchildren: Jacob, Sarah, Molly, Danika and Victoria.Ralph served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp and was honorably discharged in September of 1947. He went on to work for Chrysler Motor Corporation as a mechanic and later in the publication department for 32 years before retiring in September of 1980.Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Mary Crews.Ralph enjoyed gardening and spending time at home with his family. He will be remembered for his kindness and strength of character.
