Obituary

Raymond Paul Christie Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on July 7, 2026, in Dearborn, Michigan, at the age of 95. Born on April 25, 1931, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Raymond lived a full and vibrant life, deeply rooted in his love for family and the great outdoors.

Raymond dedicated 35 years of his career to General Motors before enjoying the simple pleasures of life. He found joy in fishing and hunting. He cherished the time spent outdoors, whether it was exploring nature or engaging in woodworking projects. An enthusiast of classic cars, Raymond appreciated their beauty and craftsmanship. In quieter moments, he enjoyed playing board games with family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and camaraderie.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eva Christie, and five loving siblings, whose memories he held dear throughout his life. He is also survived by his loving sister, Colleen Ottenbreit. Raymond's legacy lives on through his devoted children: Constance (Mark) Nusser, Karen (Mark) Laurita, Raymond Christie Jr., Ronald (Judith) Christie, Richard (Theresa Siwka) Christie, and Carol (Corey) Christie-Nichols. He was a proud grandfather to Rachel, Charles, Amanda, Mark Jr., Nathan, Jordan, Corey, Elizabeth, and Austin, and a cherished great-grandfather to six loving great-grandchildren.

Raymond's life was a testament to the values of family, love, and the simple joys of life. His memory will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him.
