CAREY, Robert, age 82, of Huron Township, August 26, 2011. Beloved husband of Mary Lou for 61 years. Loving father of Pamela S. Carey and Gayle (Timothy) Doyle. Dear grandfather of Erin G. (David) Doran, Joshua G. (Kate Martin)Taylor, Kyle M. (Gayle) Taylor, Elizabeth Carey (Edward Janssen)Smith, Sarah E. Conklin, Mary T. Conklin and great-grandfather of Grace, Lucas, and Oliver Doran, Kylie Taylor, Francesca Thomas Janssen, Abby and Elle Martin. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Sears and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers Lloyd, Edmund, Clifford, Fred, Harvey, Raymond, Thomas and his sisters Violet MacLellan and Della Snider. He and Mary Lou enjoyed several road trips to California, taking different routes to visit many different states each trip. They enjoyed visiting his sister, Dorothy and her family. They also took an Alaskan Cruise to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Bob and Mary Lou also enjoyed several trips to eastern states and Canada during their 20 years of retirement. In their younger years while still employed, they also traveled extensively. They enjoyed short road trips to favorite eating spots in Port Huron, Toledo, Windsor and Toronto for week-end visits.
